They claimed $100 million was for police but refused to use even $2 million for new academy?

During Saturday’s House debate of the Democrats’ $80 operating budget, Rep. Matt Marshall, R-Eatonville, offered an amendment to use just under $ 2 million of the $100 million Democrats said was for law enforcement and public safety last year to open and operate the new regional police training facility in Lacey. Marshall said expanding operations would increase officer training classes, improve public safety, and help move Washington up from last in the nation for number of law enforcement officers per capita. Despite none of the $100 million being accessed since it passed last year, Democrats refused to use $2 million of it for the much-needed law enforcement training academy.
